Average time of leaving the office was 10pm these few days... the general belief is that you only leave on time when you have 'something' to do. Say, going to school, having a dinner appointment, visiting a doctor... you should have to properly excuse yourself with unbeatable reason before you can leave without receiving any smirk from your co-workers... though in a subtle way.

This is absolutely unhealthy. Some people are workaholic, they get satisfactions from tackling work tasks. Some people take it as a job that in return they will receive appropriate compensation. I am neither of these extremes, I got satisfactions in my job and would expect a reaonable return. However, when one is overloaded, nothing is enjoyable any longer.
